Flutter Front-End EngineerCompany: Ryno Delivery Team: Engineering — Mobile Type: Full-time Location: Beirut, Lebanon (on-site)
About the roleRyno is a food and grocery delivery platform operating in Ghana. Our product is three Flutter apps — customer, vendor and driver — and we're looking for a front-end engineer who owns them: how they look, how they move, how they feel in the hand.
You design your own screens, build them in Flutter, animate them, and ship them to the stores. You'll work against existing APIs; the backend team owns the backend. Your job is to make three apps that feel like one polished product.
You will have real ownership from week one and direct influence over how the apps look and feel.
What you'll ownUI across three apps
- Customer app: vendor discovery, product listings, search, cart, checkout, wallet, promo codes, order tracking, notifications.
- Vendor app: order queue, accept/reject, preparation status, item availability, order history.
- Driver app: online/offline, job offers, navigation handoff, payment collection, proof of delivery, earnings, ratings, history.
Design
- You design what you build — flows, screens, states, empty states, errors and edge cases — from a brief, not a finished Figma.
- Own and grow a shared design system and Flutter component library so all three apps look and behave consistently.
- Bring the product to life with motion: mascot animations, micro-interactions, transitions and loading states.
Performance & polish
- Smooth on mid-range Android and patchy networks: startup time, list scrolling, image loading, low-storage behaviour.
- Pixel accuracy, responsive layouts across screen sizes, dark/light handling, accessibility basics.
Release
- Own the mobile release process for all three apps: builds, signing, TestFlight and Play tracks, staged rollouts, store listings and review.
- Crash monitoring and fixing. Widget and integration tests where they pay for themselves (checkout, order state).
What we're looking forRequired
- 3+ years building mobile apps, with meaningful production Flutter experience on both iOS and Android — apps real users depend on, not side projects.
- Strong Dart and Flutter fundamentals: widget tree, rendering, state management (Bloc, Riverpod, Provider or equivalent).
- Real UI/UX design ability — you produce clean, consistent screens without a separate designer.
- Hands-on with the full release process: Xcode, Android Studio, App Store Connect, Google Play Console, signing, versioning.
- Experience consuming REST APIs, push notifications, deep links, maps and payment SDKs from the app side.
- Performance instincts: you've profiled a janky list, cut app size, or fixed a memory or battery problem in production.
- A portfolio of shipped apps you can walk us through.
Nice to have
- Lottie or Rive animation integration — a big plus.
- Delivery, ride-hailing, e-commerce or fintech apps.
- Background location and battery optimisation on Android.
- Offline-first patterns and local persistence.
- Mobile CI (Codemagic, Fastlane, GitHub Actions).
How you'll work here
- * Small team, short feedback loops, minimal process. Your decisions ship.
- We favour pragmatic solutions over resume-driven architecture. If a package solves it well, we use the package.
- You are the designer and the engineer. No handoff, no waiting.
How to applySend your CV and a portfolio of apps you've shipped — store links, screenshots or videos, and a note on what you personally designed and built. Applications without a portfolio won't be reviewed.
Interview process Intro call (30 min) — your background, your portfolio, and what you're looking for.
* Technical conversation (60 min) — walk us through an app you shipped, a UI or performance problem you solved, and how you'd design and structure a checkout flow.
* Practical exercise — a scoped Flutter task with a design component, reviewed together (take-home).
* Final conversation with leadership* — how you work and what you want to build.
