Purpose of the Job
To provide a hands-on service in respect of the maintenance of buildings, infrastructure, and terrains, ensuring the planning, control, and execution of maintenance activities to meet operational and departmental priorities while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Qualifications / Capabilities
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Fluent in English (reading and writing).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and maintenance documentation.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Required Experience
- Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in facility maintenance, infrastructure maintenance, or civil maintenance engineering.
- Preferably within the marine port industry, logistics hubs, industrial facilities, airports, or large-scale infrastructure environments.
- Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance planning and execution.
- Experience in supervising contractors and service providers.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD for reviewing and updating engineering drawings.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Maintenance of Buildings, Infrastructure, and Terrains
- Ensure that all work is performed to the highest standard while complying with operational requirements and available resources.
- Execute scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Follow up on projects identified through risk management and performance improvement initiatives.
- Supervise external contractors to ensure compliance with scope, quality, and safety requirements.
- Identify required spare parts, materials, and resources to achieve maintenance objectives and report requirements to the line manager.
- Diagnose technical and process-related issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure maintenance records, equipment history, and related documentation are maintained and readily available.
Process Compliance
- Ensure full and accurate maintenance and repair records are maintained to support planning, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, standards, and maintenance management systems.
Responsibility and Engagement
- Follow company safety rules, procedures, work instructions, and coexistence requirements.
- Report duty hours accurately and comply with company policies and procedures.
- Support teamwork and effective communication across departments.
Safety
- Ensure all maintenance activities are supported by Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessment (RA), and work permits where required.
- Ensure work areas, tools, and equipment are maintained in a safe and clean condition.
- Demonstrate and promote a strong safety culture and safe working practices at all times.
Technical Competencies
- Maintenance and repair of buildings, infrastructure, and civil assets.
- Maintenance and repair of container yard structures and their components.
- Maintenance and repair of quay structures and their components.
- AutoCAD (Medium to Advanced Level) - Required.
- Ability to review, interpret, and update engineering and as-built drawings.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) – Basic to Intermediate Level.

- Rigging and wire-rope handling.
- Knowledge of HSE rules and regulations related to:
