We are looking for a DevOps & Application Modernization Presales Engineer to join our team in Doha, Qatar. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who combines hands-on engineering expertise with solution design, customer engagement, and technical presales capabilities.
üîπ Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Design & Technical Presales
- Engage with customers to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions.
- Develop technical proposals, solution architectures, bills of quantities (BOQs), and solution sizing for RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
- Prepare technical responses, solution presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept (POC) engagements.
- Collaborate with sales teams, technology partners, and delivery teams to develop compelling customer solutions.
- Support customer workshops, technical discussions, and solution demonstrations across Qatar and the wider GCC.
DevOps & Application Modernization
- Design and demonstrate DevOps solutions encompassing CI/CD pipelines, automation, source code management, and application lifecycle management.
- Understand application modernization approaches, including monolithic-to-microservices transformation, containerization, and cloud-native application development.
- Work with Red Hat OpenShift and related technologies to demonstrate container platforms, deployment automation, and cloud-native architectures.
- Understand the integration of DevOps toolchains, including GitLab, Jira, CI/CD platforms, and automated testing solutions.
- Contribute to solution designs that improve development agility, release velocity, automation, and software quality.
Quality Engineering & Test Automation
- Demonstrate an understanding of software testing and quality engineering across the application development lifecycle.
- Work with test automation, performance testing, and continuous testing solutions.
- Experience with Tricentis and/or OpenText testing solutions is highly desirable.
- Understand how automated testing integrates with CI/CD pipelines to enable faster, more reliable software releases.
Technical Collaboration & Enablement
- Work closely with sales, delivery, and technology partners to validate solution feasibility and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
- Stay current with emerging DevOps, application modernization, cloud-native, and quality engineering technologies.
- Support the development of reusable demos, POC frameworks, technical presentations, and solution collateral.
üîπ Required Skills & Experience 6‚Äì10 years of relevant hands-on experience in DevOps, application modernization, cloud-native technologies, software testing, or related technical domains.
* Red Hat OpenShift certification is required.*
* Practical understanding of CI/CD concepts, DevOps practices, automation, and application lifecycle management.
* Experience with GitLab, Jira, and DevOps toolchain integrations.
* Understanding of application modernization, microservices architecture, containers, and cloud-native technologies.
* Experience in technical presales activities, including POCs, demonstrations, solution sizing, proposal development, and technical presentations.
* Ability to analyze RFP/RFI/RFQ requirements and develop technically sound, customer-focused solutions.
* Strong communication, presentation, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to engage confidently with technical teams, architects, and customer stakeholders.
üîπ Good to Have
- * Tricentis or OpenText testing product experience.
- Experience with test automation, performance engineering, and continuous testing.
- Exposure to GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Tekton, or similar pipeline technologies.
- Experience supporting application modernization or DevOps transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with public cloud, hybrid cloud, and enterprise container platforms.
- Arabic language proficiency alongside strong English communication skills.
üîπ What We‚Äôre Looking ForWe are looking for a hands-on technologist who can bridge engineering and presales‚Äîsomeone who can understand customer challenges, design the right solution, build and demonstrate working POCs, and confidently articulate the technical and business value.
The ideal candidate is comfortable moving between technical implementation, solution architecture, proposal development, and customer-facing engagements.
Location requirement: Candidates must be based in Doha, Qatar, and be willing to travel across GCC countries as required.
Arabic is an advantage but not mandatory.
