About the Client
Our client is a global consumer goods organization with a large multi-brand portfolio in the pet care and nutrition category, sold across more than 100 markets. The organization is investing heavily in modernizing how it understands and serves consumers, and its Customer Data Platform (CDP) function sits at the centre of that effort. This team owns the ingestion, identity unification, and activation infrastructure that powers marketing and personalization initiatives for the full brand portfolio on a global scale.
Culturally, the team runs on autonomy, strong engineering discipline, and international collaboration. Engineers are trusted to own their components end to end, from design through deployment and documentation, and are expected to raise the technical bar for those around them rather than simply ship tickets.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior CDP Data Engineer to develop, maintain, and continuously improve data pipelines on an enterprise Customer Data Platform. You will design and operate ingestion, transformation, and activation pipelines that feed global marketing and personalization use cases, and you will help mature the platform's CI/CD practices, data quality controls, and PII handling. The role carries a high degree of autonomy: you will make architectural decisions, document them, and review the work of less experienced engineers, providing constructive technical feedback. This is a hands-on senior engineering position for someone who enjoys building robust, scalable data infrastructure and improving how a team works, not only what it ships.
Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and activation pipelines within the client's Customer Data Platform.
• Contribute to the evolution of the CI/CD pipeline, including quality gates and multi-region deployments.
• Implement data quality controls and contribute to automated PII tagging.
• Support migration and compliance work across regions.
• Review code and designs from less experienced team members, providing constructive technical feedback.
• Document processes, technical decisions, and architecture for the components you develop.
Must-Have Skills
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or backend development in cloud environments. • Solid, hands-on experience with Treasure Data / Treasure AI.
• Strong command of Python and SQL.
• Experience working with Java (basic/mid-level)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (GitHub).
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with international teams. • Professional-level English (spoken and written).
Nice-to-Have Skills
• Experience with Databricks or Snowflake.
• Exposure to Salesforce data ecosystems.
• Experience integrating CDP outputs with broader MarTech tooling (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, REST APIs, Power BI dashboarding, Datadog observability).
Conditions
• Contract type: Contractor engagement, full-time at 40 hours per week.
• Work setup: Fully remote.
• Time zone & overlap: UTC+1 (CET/CEST). A minimum 6-hour daily overlap is required, starting at the beginning of the client's working day (approximately 9:00 AM CET).
• Contract length: 12 months, automatically renewed depending on business needs and performance.
• Equipment: the client will provide a provisional laptop.
