Your Role at CabotJoin a high-impact regional commercial organization managing customer relationships in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH) as well as Central and Eastern Europe (CEE)
Cabot Corporation, a global leader in specialty chemicals and performance materials, is seeking an experienced Sales Manager for its Reinforcement Materials segment to drive commercial results and manage customer relationships in the tire and rubber goods industries.
This is a remote role which will be based either in Germany or Czech Republic.How You Will Make An ImpactThis is a pivotal, revenue-generating role for an experienced B2B sales professional who thrives on developing business, winning new opportunities, and managing strategic customer relationships. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the DACH and CEE territories and is accountable for driving sustainable, profitable growth by:
- Owning and driving sales performance with full accountability for revenue growth and margin performance. Develop volume and revenue forecasts, sales plans and strategies for achieving desired results.
- Driving both current and future value for Cabot by building a shared understanding of the individual customer and overall portfolio profitability and focus on where Cabot can differentiate itself at the interface with the customer.
- Ensuring Commercial Excellence through the consistent and disciplined use of Salesforce.com (customer account planning, maintaining accurate forecasts) and commercial strategies
- Conduct balance of power analyses, prepare accurate market maps and apply professional negotiation tools and techniques
- Leading complex commercial negotiations, including pricing and contract discussions, with customers. Confidently articulate product value, features, and benefits to secure profitable outcomes. Educates customers on new products and product enhancements; articulates and presents product features and benefits.
- Identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities, including the introduction of new products and solutions aligned with customer needs and Cabot’s strategic priorities.
- Acting as a commercial partner and trusted advisor to customers, providing consultative support on product applications. Leverages and coordinates resources within the region in order to provide technical services support to customers as needed.
- Developing marketing and sales strategies. Identifying opportunities for increasing sales and pursuing new business. Developing and implementing plans and programs. Obtaining information regarding customers’ present and anticipated needs, identifying opportunities for increased sales. Providing leadership that assists management in setting strategic initiatives and programs to achieve corporate strategies

Education & Experience
- * Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; MBA would be a plus.
- Minimum of 7+ years of sales experience in the chemical industry.
- Full professional proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required, any other language from the area of responsibility is a strong plus.
