Job description:
The D&T Head of Regional Planner is responsible for ensuring that the D&T needs of corporate functions such as finance, procurement, human resources, legal & compliance are efficiently met. This role involves demand planning, capacity planning, resource planning, performance management, budget management and reporting to ensure the effective and efficient use of D&T resources. The D&T Head of Regional Planner will collaborate with the Heads of Region functions D&T to understand their requirements and ensure the adequate utilization of D&T resources for the efficient delivery of the corporate functions’ D&T plans.
The overall purpose of this role is to:
· Collaborate with Heads of Region D&T to understand the D&T needs and requirements of their domains.
· Forecast D&T demand based on business plans and projects requirements.
· Be the point of contact for all demand for the functional area and ensure demand is triaged and prioritized according to principles.
· Develop and maintain a demand plan to ensure D&T resources are allocated appropriately.
· Assess current D&T capacity and forecast future capacity needs.
· Develop and implement plans to ensure that D&T capacity meets current and future demand.
· Identify potential bottlenecks and recommend solutions to optimize capacity utilization.
· Plan and allocate D&T resources (hardware, software, personnel) to meet the needs of corporate functions.
· Monitor and adjust resource allocations to ensure optimal use of D&T assets.
· Coordinate with D&T teams to ensure the timely delivery of resources.
· Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of D&T services.
· Analyze performance data and provide insights to improve D&T operations.
· Implement improvements based on performance metrics and feedback from stakeholders.
· Develop and maintain regular reports on D&T performance, resource utilization, and capacity.
· Provide detailed analysis and insights to senior management and corporate function leaders.
· Ensure reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with business needs.
· Identify and mitigate risks associated with D&T operations and planning.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
· Develop and maintain contingency plans to address potential disruptions.
· As a member of the global planning community, share best practice and adopt standards for templates and reporting to drive planning as a discipline across D&T.
· Track the benefit and value of D&T delivery to allow value capture and communication.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience including of 5 years in D&T planning, demand planning, capacity planning, or a related role within a corporate environment.
· Strong understanding of corporate functions and their technology needs.
· Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems integration, cloud technologies, and emerging IT trends
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization with cross-functional teams and senior management.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to make data-driven decisions.
· Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in D&T operations and performance management.
· Professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or COBIT are a plus.
Strong ability to work with and manage remote teams utilizing technology.
