We are looking for an experienced CNC Woodworking Machine Operator with strong knowledge of woodworking and CNC machine operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in operating and setting up CNC machines for wood and furniture production, with good knowledge of ArtCAM software for design, programming, and toolpath preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and set up CNC machines for woodworking and furniture production.
- Prepare and execute CNC programs based on drawings and production requirements.
- Create and modify CNC designs and toolpaths using ArtCAM.
- Read and understand technical drawings, cutting layouts, and woodworking designs.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
- Perform cutting, drilling, engraving, routing, and shaping operations on wood and related materials.
- Ensure accurate dimensions, finishing quality, and proper machine performance.
- Inspect finished products and ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Perform basic machine troubleshooting, maintenance, and tool changes.
- Coordinate with carpenters, furniture production teams, and supervisors to ensure smooth production.
- Minimize material waste through proper cutting and nesting techniques.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience operating CNC woodworking machines.
- Strong practical experience in woodworking, furniture manufacturing, and carpentry works.
- Good knowledge of ArtCAM is required.
- Experience in CNC programming, toolpath generation, and machine setup.
- Ability to read technical drawings and woodworking plans.
- Knowledge of different types of wood, MDF, plywood, veneer, and other wood-based materials.
- Ability to troubleshoot common CNC machine and production issues.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in furniture, interior fit-out, joinery, or custom woodworking production.
- Knowledge of CNC routers and multi-axis CNC machines.
- Experience with AutoCAD or other CAD/CAM software is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of woodworking machinery, cutting tools, and finishing requirements.
