Planner – CAFM
ESOM is looking for an experienced Planner – CAFM to support facilities management operations through effective maintenance planning, resource coordination, asset management, and CAFM/CMMS system utilization.
The role will be responsible for ensuring maintenance activities, manpower, tools, work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and facility assets are effectively planned, monitored, and coordinated to support reliable and efficient FM operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain annual, monthly, weekly, and daily maintenance plans and schedules.
- Review planned preventive maintenance activities, manpower requirements, tools, and required spare parts.
- Prepare daily schedules and coordinate the allocation of manpower, equipment, and resources.
- Review, prioritize, and reschedule critical Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities when required.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and the Help Desk to schedule, assign, monitor, and close work orders.
- Ensure maintenance history, work-order information, and asset records are accurately captured within the CAFM/CMMS system.
- Monitor maintenance schedules and recommend adjustments to improve operational efficiency.
- Analyze CAFM data to identify trends, recurring issues, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare professional reports covering maintenance performance, system utilization, KPIs, work orders, asset performance, and operational metrics.
- Track and manage facility assets, equipment, machinery, and associated records.
- Support preventive maintenance planning to improve asset reliability and extend equipment lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate CAFM databases, equipment records, asset information, and related facility data.
- Monitor work-order priorities and ensure activities are completed according to urgency, operational requirements, and agreed schedules.
- Coordinate with internal departments, project teams, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders regarding facility requirements.
- Recommend improvements that enhance productivity, optimize resource utilization, reduce waste, and support cost efficiency.
- Provide guidance and support to CAFM system users and assist with system-related best practices.
- Support staff training related to CAFM processes, system utilization, and facilities management practices.
- Monitor relevant operational costs and identify opportunities for improved efficiency and cost savings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience using CAFM/CMMS systems.
- Strong working knowledge of MAXIMO, SAP, or equivalent CAFM/CMMS platforms.
- Previous experience within Facilities Management, Facilities Maintenance, or Maintenance Operations is required.
- Strong understanding of preventive maintenance planning, work-order management, resource planning, asset management, and maintenance scheduling.
- Ability to analyze operational and maintenance data and prepare professional reports.
- Strong organizational, coordination, prioritization, and planning skills.
- Ability to supervise, guide, coordinate, and effectively allocate work and resources.
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Profile
Candidates with strong exposure to CAFM planning, maintenance scheduling, FM operations, asset management, KPI reporting, and work-control environments will be highly preferred.
