Alila Jabal Akhdar is seeking an enthusiastic and service-oriented Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service, creating memorable guest experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, professionalism, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- * Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with hotel standards and recipes.
- Deliver a friendly, engaging, and personalized service experience to all guests.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of beverage menus, cocktail preparation, wine, spirits, and current beverage trends.
- Make recommendations to guests and confidently upsell food and beverage offerings.
- Ensure all beverages are presented and served according to established service standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene of the bar and surrounding areas at all times.
- Carry out opening, closing, and side duties, including stock replenishment, ice preparation, cleaning, and equipment maintenance.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or operational requirements to management.
- Handle guest enquiries, preferences, and complaints professionally and ensure prompt follow-up when required.
- Record guest preferences and contribute to creating personalized guest experiences.
- Serve alcohol responsibly and comply with all legal and hotel requirements.
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times.
- Support colleagues and work collaboratively with restaurant, kitchen, and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in training programs, departmental briefings, and continuous learning initiatives.

QualificationsQualifications & Experience
- * Minimum 2 years of experience as a Bartender in a luxury hotel, resort, or upscale hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and beverage service standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest service and creating memorable experiences.
- Strong sales and upselling abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
