About The PositionWe are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant – Purchasing to join our team. The role focuses on ensuring the accuracy and integrity of purchase-related accounting activities, supporting monthly closing processes, and maintaining compliance with local and international accounting standards. The ideal candidate will play a key role in monitoring financial transactions, improving processes, and supporting multi-entity operations.
What You'll Do
- Review and validate all purchase entries, shipments and journal vouchers prepared by the team
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper supporting documents for all financial entries
- Perform detailed reviews of daily journal entries and Statement of Accounts (SOA) reconciliations
- Perform detailed reviews of sales reports prepared by the team
- Conduct stock reviews and confirmation.
- Ensure timely completion of monthly closing activities
- Contact and coordinate with vendors regarding payments invoices and all other requests
- Identify discrepancies and follow up with relevant stakeholders for corrections
- Develop and maintain reports and tracking tools for effective stock & price monitoring
- Contribute to process improvements and strengthen internal controls
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- 3 years and above of relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of Lebanese accounting practices and regulations
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (mandatory)
- Experience in reconciliations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Effective communication and coordination skills
Nice To Have
- Familiarity with ERP systems beyond Business Central
- Process improvement or internal audit experience
- Experience in Power BI
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Microsoft Excel (advanced: pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
- Financial reporting and reconciliation tools
