We're Hiring: BIM Manager / BIM Coordinator
Doha, Qatar | Contract Basis
Converra Consulting and Services LLC is looking for an experienced BIM Manager / Coordinator to lead BIM delivery on projects in Qatar. The role will own model coordination and BIM compliance with client standards, while working closely with design consultants, supervision consultants, and the client’s BIM team.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement client BIM standards, EIR and CAD/BIM deliverable requirements across all project stages
- Prepare and maintain the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), MIDP and TIDPs
- Make sure naming conventions, LOD/LOI, classification and file formats meet submission criteria
- Run BIM quality checks before every submission, then track and close review comments
- Manage the Common Data Environment (CDE): access, workflows and revision control
- Federate multi-discipline models and lead clash detection and resolution
- Chair weekly BIM coordination meetings and issue clash reports and minutes
- Act as the main BIM point of contact for the client, consultants and subcontractors
- Review consultant BIM deliverables and coordinate design changes and RFIs through the model
- Support 4D/5D model uses and as-built model delivery for handover
- Supervise and train BIM modellers, and prepare monthly BIM status reports and KPIs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 6-8 years of BIM experience, with at least 3 years as a BIM Coordinator or Manager
- Proven experience on Ashghal (PWA) projects in buildings, roads, drainage or infrastructure
- Sound knowledge of Ashghal BIM standards and submission/approval processes
- Strong track record of dealing with design and supervision consultants
- Hands-on experience preparing BEPs and running clash detection workflows
Software
- Revit (Architecture, Structure, MEP) and Civil 3D
- Navisworks Manage, plus Solibri or ACC/BIM Collaborate Pro
- A CDE platform: ACC, BIM 360, Aconex or ProjectWise
- AutoCAD, drafting to Ashghal CAD standards
Preferred
- ISO 19650 training or certification
- Experience with other Qatar government clients (Qatar Rail, Kahramaa, MME)
- Dynamo scripting, or 4D linking with Primavera P6
- Currently in Qatar with a transferable visa and a Qatar driving licence
