The Thinner Department Officer oversees the production and delivery of thinner products, ensuring efficient scheduling, resource allocation, and adherence to quality and safety standards. This role involves managing personnel, monitoring production processes, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring timely fulfillment of client orders.
Responsibilities
a. Assist in develop and execute daily production schedules based on sales, export, and warehouse requests.
b. Prepare batch formulas in coordination with the QC department.
c. Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and recommend updates when needed.
d. Request, inspect, and receive raw and packaging materials from warehouses.
e. Maintain accurate production records using PIMS.
f. Assist in inventory counts and investigate any major variances.
g. Identify and report maintenance issues for timely resolution.
h. Supervise department personnel to ensure efficiency and productivity.
i. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while enforcing safety and PPE regulations.
j. Identify potential risks and report them to the production manager and QHS officer.
k. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving workshops.
l. Participate in performance appraisals and suggest areas for improvement.
m. Follow up on requisition orders related to the thinner department to ensure timely delivery.
n. Responsible for monitoring daily attendance and conducting monthly evaluations of workers.
o. Responsible for monitoring, counting, and maintaining inventory levels of raw materials and production supplies.
p. Responsible for receiving raw materials required for batch formulation and inspecting them to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
q. Responsible for supervising the manufacturing process of the final product, including filling, proper labeling, and delivery of finished goods to the warehouse.
r. Perform and verify the calibration of balances and cleanliness of machines and equipment.
Qualifications
A high school diploma
Problem-solving skills.
Computer knowledge
Working knowledge of inventory management software (PIMS)
Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
Communication skills
