The OpportunityWe are looking for an organized and dependable Accountant / Administrative Assistant who combines solid accounting fundamentals with strong administrative skills. You will support the day-to-day financial and office operations of Arina Energy, helping ensure accurate records, timely documentation, smooth coordination, and reliable administrative support across the business.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers and documents, and able to manage several priorities at once. You will work closely with management, project teams, suppliers, customers, banks, and external service providers while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. What You Will DoAccounting & Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate accounting records, enter and classify financial transactions, prepare journal entries, and keep supporting documents properly organized. Assist with accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, payment tracking, reconciliations, and routine accounting reports.
Payments, Banking & Collections: Prepare payment documentation, follow up on customer receivables and supplier balances, assist with bank transactions and reconciliations, and maintain clear records of payments, receipts, advances, and outstanding amounts. Coordinate with management on payment priorities and cash requirements.
Administrative & Office Support: Manage day-to-day administrative activities including correspondence, filing, document preparation, meeting coordination, office supplies, incoming requests, and general office organization. Maintain orderly physical and electronic records so information can be retrieved quickly and reliably.
Documentation & Compliance: Support the preparation and filing of invoices, receipts, contracts, purchase documents, VAT-related records, payroll supporting documents, and other financial or administrative files. Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax advisers, and relevant authorities when required, ensuring requested documentation is complete and submitted on time.
Team & Project Support: Provide administrative and financial support to project and commercial teams, including maintaining project expense records, purchase and supplier documentation, petty cash records, timesheets, and other operational information. Assist management with reports, schedules, letters, and follow-up actions.
Core ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate accounting entries, supporting documents, and organized financial records
Prepare and follow up on invoices, receipts, supplier payments, customer collections, and account statements
Perform bank, cash, supplier, and customer account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
Maintain petty cash and prepare periodic summaries of expenses and supporting documents
Support VAT, payroll, audit, tax, and statutory documentation in coordination with management and external advisers
Provide day-to-day administrative support including correspondence, filing, document control, meeting coordination, and office organization
Prepare routine financial and administrative reports and ensure records are complete, accurate, and up to date

Must-HavesBachelor's degree in accounting
2+ years of relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a combined accounting/administrative role
Good understanding of basic accounting principles, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, accounting software and general office applications
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when handling payments and financial documents
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Professional communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with colleagues, customers, suppliers, banks, and external parties
High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality when handling financial and employee information
Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken)
Nice-to-HavesKnowledge of Lebanese accounting, VAT, payroll, and tax documentation practices
Experience with ERP/accounting platforms and electronic banking systems
Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and financial tracking templates
Experience supporting audits, month-end closing, or management reporting
