Technical Product Manager
About the Role
We're a small team building a consumer finance app on Bitcoin Layer 2, heading toward launch. We're driven by a clear vision of what finance ought to look like, and we're taking an optimistically different direction to get there.
This role covers both project and product management. You'll run delivery across engineering team, and you'll help shape what we build: scope, priorities, and trade-offs. We're looking for someone with real technical grounding who can hold their own in detailed conversations with engineers.
Experience with blockchain products is a strong plus. If your background is in complex technical product delivery and you have a genuine interest in blockchain, we'd still like to hear from you.
Who We're Looking For
People who have shipped consumer-facing mobile products, understand what it takes to coordinate across a multi-layer technical stack, and know their way around blockchain, or are serious about getting there.
Core Requirements
Technical Background
- Ability to read technical specifications and identify schedule risks, resource constraints, and dependency issues
- Technical credibility sufficient to engage productively with engineers and recognise unrealistic estimates
- Familiarity with mobile development lifecycles, including iOS and Android release management
- Comfort managing dependencies across protocol, infrastructure, API, and client layers
Project and Product Management
- Proven experience delivering consumer-facing mobile applications
- Comfortable running sprints and tooling (Jira, Linear, or similar) without letting process get in the way of shipping
- Experience managing multiple workstreams across backend and client development
- Track record with app store releases, regulatory requirements, and external partner integrations
- Product intuition: the ability to challenge scope, prioritise user impact, and push back on feature creep
Stakeholder Management
- Experience coordinating across engineering, design, compliance, and business
- Ability to translate technical status into clear updates for leadership
- Experience managing external partners and third-party deliverables
Blockchain Knowledge
- Experience working on a blockchain or crypto product is strongly preferred
- General understanding of Bitcoin and current scaling solutions (Lightning, Liquid, and others) and the trade-offs between them
- Familiarity with keys, transactions, and custody models, or a clear motivation to learn them quickly
What You'll Do
- Plan and run development across protocol integration, backend services, and the mobile app
- Coordinate sprint planning, resourcing, and delivery timelines
- Manage app store release cycles for iOS and Android
- Identify and mitigate risks before they affect delivery
- Manage dependencies between protocol, infrastructure, API, and client layers
- Contribute to product decisions: prioritising features, defining scope, and deciding what not to build
- Coordinate partner integrations and go-to-market work with business and marketing
- Keep documentation and status reporting clear for the team
