Role Description The Structural Welder role at FSCC is a full-time, on-site position based in Ras Al Khair. The Structural Welder will fabricate, assemble, and repair structural components for pipelines, civil structures, and related infrastructure using appropriate welding techniques and equipment. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols, preparing materials and joints, and performing high-quality welds in various positions and environments. The role also involves inspecting welds, performing basic measurements and quality checks, following strict safety procedures, and coordinating with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to support project timelines. The Structural Welder is expected to maintain welding tools and equipment, keep work areas organized, and comply with FSCC’s safety and quality standards at all times.
Qualifications
* Candidates should possess strong skills in Arc Welding and general Welding for structural and pipeline applications.
* Candidates should possess TIG Welding and MIG Welding skills for working with different materials and weld types.
* Candidates should possess knowledge of Materials relevant to structural welding, including steel grades, welding consumables, and material properties.
* Relevant technical certification or vocational training in welding or metal fabrication is preferred.
* Proven experience as a structural or industrial welder, ideally within infrastructure or pipeline projects.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions accurately.
* Strong understanding of safety procedures, PPE usage, and compliance with site safety regulations.
* Physical ability to work in outdoor, industrial environments and perform welding in different positions and confined spaces.
* Basic proficiency in measurement tools (e.g., tape measures, gauges) and quality inspection of welds.
* Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a multicultural work environment.
