Role Description The Quantity Surveyor role at HOMAN Group is a full-time, on-site position based in Beirut. In this role, the Quantity Surveyor will prepare and review bills of quantities (BOQs), support cost estimating for tenders and ongoing projects, and monitor project expenditures against budgets. The role involves developing and maintaining cost plans, preparing regular cost reports, and advising project teams on cost implications of design and construction decisions. The Quantity Surveyor will collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and site teams to validate quantities, verify contractor claims, and support contract administration. The individual will help ensure financial efficiency and value for money across diverse infrastructure and building projects.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in preparing and reviewing BOQs, with practical experience in quantity take-off and measurement.
- Proficiency in cost control and cost management to monitor budgets, track variations, and manage financial risks.
- Experience in cost planning and cost reporting, including forecasting, periodic cost summaries, and final accounts.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, and Construction Projects
- Familiarity with construction contracts and standard forms of agreement (e.g., FIDIC).
- Competence with relevant software tools (e.g., MS Excel, cost estimation and QS software) and strong numerical skills.
- Effective communication, analytical, and negotiation abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
