We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join Procore’s Traffic team within Developer Acceleration. In this role, you’ll serve as a technical leader for our traffic and edge networking ecosystem, driving the design and evolution of the API gateways, CDN, and ingress/egress infrastructure that sit in front of nearly every request Procore serves. Your primary goal is to set the technical direction for critical initiatives—including our migration off legacy API gateway technology to modern, cloud-native alternatives—while mentoring engineers across a globally distributed team.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you’ll partner with Engineering Management, Security, and peer Developer Acceleration teams -including Secrets & Observability- to ensure our traffic layer meets the reliability, security, and compliance bar that Procore’s global customer base depends on. Use your deep expertise in API gateways, service mesh, and CDN/edge technologies to deliver resilient, scalable, and elegantly simple traffic infrastructure that serves as the backbone of Procore’s platform.
