Senior Software Engineer - Learning Management System (LMS)
Hiring profile for the new enterprise Learning Management System
Role Purpose
We are looking for Senior Software Engineers to design and build major capabilities of a new enterprise Learning Management System. This is a hands-on role for engineers who can independently own complex features, contribute to system design, raise engineering quality, and mentor less-experienced developers.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, test, and maintain complex LMS features and services.
• Own significant features from technical design through production rollout and support.
• Contribute to architecture and design discussions.
• Write maintainable, secure, well-tested code and provide thoughtful code reviews.
• Investigate difficult defects, performance issues, integrations, and production incidents.
• Mentor Mid-Level and Junior engineers.
• Improve reusable components, documentation, automation, and engineering practices.
• Collaborate effectively with Product, QA, UX, DevOps/Platform, and other engineers.
Required Profile
• Strong professional software development experience with independent delivery of complex features.
• Strong knowledge of software design principles, APIs, databases, testing, debugging, and version control.
• Ability to reason about maintainability, performance, security, reliability, and operational behavior.
• Experience reviewing code and providing constructive technical feedback.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and ownership.
Preferred / Advantageous Experience
• Experience with distributed, enterprise, or integration-heavy systems.
• Experience mentoring developers.
• Experience with LMS, EdTech, examination, content-management, reporting, or workflow products.
• Experience with .NET is preferred.
