Join us in building the ultimate online playground!
Poki is on a mission to create the ultimate online playground, bringing easy access to the best games on web to over 100 million monthly players worldwide. These games are created by a dynamic global community of 500+ game developer teams. At the core of our work lies a simple belief: play is how we learn. This Senior Product Manager role is about taking a new extension of the Poki user experience from a blank page to market, with proven early traction.
What this job is about
You'll own a new extension of the Poki user experience end to end, from market and audience research and pricing to product vision, roadmap, launch and iteration. You'll have full product ownership, including scope and prioritisation decisions within the agreed strategy. You'll lead a dedicated design, engineering and business team to bring the product to market fast, running fast launch and iteration cycles and working with them daily to ship and review iterations. Your week will mix talking to players and partners, market and pricing research, running your own analyses, writing specs and strategy docs, and prototyping with AI tools. You'll work closely with product leadership, data, and our business and commercial teams, and keep leadership regularly updated on progress and learnings.
You'll be building something new from a blank page, with the reach of over 100 million monthly players behind you and a dedicated team from day one. The product is designed to be fun and to delight players. You'll be highly autonomous in driving the product and highly collaborative with your dedicated team and stakeholders, working iteratively and sharing progress early. We're looking for someone curious and open-minded, pragmatic, optimistic about what can be built, and a team player. If the product succeeds, you'll own a new pillar of Poki and can grow into leading the product line and the team around it.
Your Challenge as a Senior Product Manager
- Validate the opportunity. You'll turn market, audience and pricing research into a clear product thesis and business case. Within your first 3 months, that means a validated product thesis and a research-backed pricing direction.
- Define success metrics and an agreed roadmap. You'll set success metrics up front and make prioritisation decisions based on impact, with an agreed roadmap and success metrics in place by month 3.
- Ship v1. You'll get a first version into players' hands quickly, including a mobile app launch if that's part of the product, with v1 launched to market by month 6.
- Find traction. You'll iterate from early signals to a product with proven adoption and a roadmap leadership buys into. At 12 months, success means early traction against agreed targets.
- Decide fast with incomplete data. The work comes with high ambiguity and few existing answers, so you'll need to make decisions before the data is complete and set your own metrics.
- Keep a new team focused. You'll keep your dedicated team focused while the product finds its shape.
You
- Have 6+ years of Product Management experience on web-scale consumer products used by millions. You understand consumer behaviour and scale at Poki's level.
- Have taken at least one product from 0 to 1, and launched and managed at least one mobile app. Taking a product to market is the core of this role, and mobile is needed for the new product's reach.
- Run your own analyses at an advanced level. You pull data, build models and draw conclusions independently, because a new product has no analyst queue to lean on.
- Are an advanced, hands-on user of AI tooling. You use it daily to research, prototype and analyse, because it's how a small team ships fast.
- Have proven experience in pricing and market research. You've designed research that answered a real business question, which matters because this product needs a validated audience and price point.
- Are an excellent, structured communicator. You create buy-in on a vision that doesn't exist yet, in writing and in the room.
- Have a strong sense of urgency and design for impact. You bias to action and validate early, because speed to learning decides whether 0 to 1 works. You set metrics up front and prioritise by expected impact rather than output.
Bonus experience
- Experience with consumer subscriptions, in-app purchases or other direct monetisation models
- SQL proficiency
- Familiarity with gaming or game design
