Role Description The Executive Chef is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt, responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations across the restaurant. This role includes designing and updating menus, supervising food preparation and cooking, and ensuring consistent food quality and presentation. The Executive Chef will lead, train, and schedule kitchen staff, maintain strict hygiene and safety standards, and monitor inventory, purchasing, and cost control. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve coordinating with front-of-house management, managing supplier relationships, and supporting special events and seasonal offerings. The Executive Chef is expected to maintain a positive, inclusive work environment and uphold Five Brothers Hospitality’s culinary vision and brand standards.
Qualifications
* Strong culinary skills, including expertise in cooking techniques and food preparation.
* Solid understanding of hygiene, food safety regulations, and best practices in a professional kitchen.
* Experience in food service operations, including plating, timing, and coordination with front-of-house teams.
* Proven experience in menu development, cost control, and inventory management.
* Previous leadership experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef, or similar role in restaurants or hospitality.
* Ability to train, mentor, and supervise diverse kitchen teams in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and consistency.
* Relevant culinary education, professional certifications, or equivalent practical experience.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
