Location: Beirut, Lebanon (with regular travel across the GCC and wider Middle East)
Type: Full-time
Start: As soon as we find the right person
About usThe Swiss Cyber Institute is a partner institution for building real cybersecurity and AI capability inside the organizations. We deliver practical, high-quality training backed by trusted Swiss standards and human-first support. Based in Zurich and recognized as an education provider by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation, we work with public sector, private industry, and international organizations across Switzerland, the US, Singapore, the UAE, and Finland.
The roleWe're opening our Middle East sales function, and you'd be the person who builds it. You'll own business development for our corporate training portfolio across the region: finding the right organizations, understanding what their teams actually need, and turning that into training engagements we deliver together.
This is a build role, not a maintenance one. You'll start with a portfolio, a Swiss brand with a real track record, and a lot of open ground.
What you'll do
- * Own the full sales cycle in the Middle East, from first conversation to signed agreement
- Build and manage a pipeline of corporate, government, and institutional clients across Lebanon, the GCC, and neighboring markets
- Represent us at exhibitions, conferences, and industry events across the region
- Build a partner network, resellers, training partners, chambers, associations, and local institutions that extends our reach beyond what one person can cover
- Work with our team in Zurich to shape proposals, scope engagements, and hand over cleanly to delivery
- Feed market insight back to us: what the region needs, what competitors offer, where our portfolio should grow
- Keep your pipeline and client records accurate and current
What you bring
- * Fluent Arabic and English, written and spoken. Both matter equally in this role.
- Based in Beirut with the ability to travel frequently across the GCC and the wider region
- Several years of B2B sales or business development experience, ideally in training, education, professional services, technology, or consulting
- A working understanding of cybersecurity and AI, enough to hold a credible conversation with a CISO, a CHRO, or an L&D lead. You don't need to be an engineer.
- An existing network in the region, or a clear plan for building one
- Comfort working independently across time zones, with a head office in Switzerland
- Valid travel documents and the flexibility that regional travel requires
Nice to have: experience selling to government and public sector clients, exposure to GCC procurement processes, or a third language (French is useful in North Africa).
What we offer
- * Base salary plus a performance-based commission structure, discussed openly in the first interview
- A full portfolio to sell, with Swiss accreditation and client references behind it
- Budget and support for conferences, exhibitions, and regional travel
- Direct line to the CEO and a small team that moves quickly
- Access to our own training programs — you'll learn the subject matter properly, not just the sales deck
- Room to shape how we build the region
How to applyApply here with a motivation note, where you tell us about one client relationship you built from scratch and what it took. We read every application.
