Job Summary:
A governmental entity is searching for an Officer – Social Media Content Developer who will manage our social media presence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing social media content to increase our online presence and improve our marketing, communication and attraction efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Develop compelling content strategies and concepts for social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Filming & Photography: Shoot high-quality videos and photos suitable for various social platforms, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and campaign goals.
- Video Editing: Edit videos using advanced tools to create captivating short and long-form content, integrating effects, music, and captions as needed.
- Graphic Design: Create visually appealing graphics, infographics, and thumbnails using tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
- Social Media Management: Collaborate with the communications team to schedule posts, monitor engagement, and analyze performance metrics.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on industry trends, platform updates, and viral content to ensure the brand remains relevant and innovative.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, design, and product teams to align content with overall brand strategy.
- Equipment Management: Maintain and manage filming and photography equipment, ensuring all tools are ready for use.
MEASURING & OPTIMIZATION & REPORTING
- Continuously measure all social media activities in terms of channel performance, content performance, engagement rates, video completion rates through platform specific analytics tools and also 3rd party tools like Sprout Social, etc.
- Continuously analyze all social media activities to recommend optimizations to the content types, carry out changes to the content calendar, ensure newer content formats are tested and recommended for future use based on their performance
- Process raw data from social media reporting tools including platform tools and 3rd party tools. Data can be, but not limited to social media impressions, engagements (likes and comments), followers, video views, link clicks, and form submissions.
- Supply reporting numbers and analysis for periodic reports (monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc) for both the department and the company
Professional/Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or other related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in social media marketing, public relations or communications.
- Fluent in English and Arabic
- Experience in public sector is preferrable
