ABOUT THE ROLE
To coordinate the design, development, and operationalization of Data & AI capabilities across the organization by collaborating closely with business Data Analysts and stakeholders, identifying key data requirements, and facilitating the creation of scalable, flexible, and robust data solutions. This involves strategizing over technology, architecting, and implementing data platforms that are capable of scaling to meet growing business demands and adapting to future technological advancements, including generative systems. The role is responsible for co-developing, administering, and continuously improving the Group’s Generative AI initiatives and help prepare the necessary data from Analytical Data Sources, establishing effective governance structures, and launching comprehensive programs to drive successful integration of AI technologies across multiple business functions.
This position will act as a key enabler of Data & AI-driven transformation by bridging the gap between business objectives, Data Enablement, technical data infrastructure, and AI governance frameworks. The incumbent will ensure that AI solutions are closely aligned with organizational priorities, oversee the implementation of best practices in AI governance, and foster a culture of innovation and responsible AI adoption. Furthermore, the role will monitor emerging trends in Data & AI, proactively recommending enhancements and guiding the business in leveraging data and AI to achieve strategic goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Engineering & Platform Enablement:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models to support analytics and AI use cases
- Enable reliable and governed data access for business Data Analysts across functions
- Support data integration initiatives across systems and platforms (ERP, ecommerce, customer data, etc.)
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and availability across operational and analytical systems
- Independently work towards developing and sustaining the necessary capabilities that drives Analytics and AI
AI & Generative Ai Enablement:
- Co-develop and operationalize the organization’s Generative AI onboarding framework
- Build and support AI use cases (automation, copilots, insights generation, productivity tools)
- Translate business use cases into AI-powered solutions (e.g., Copilot-based workflows)
- Support evaluation, integration, and deployment of AI tools in line with enterprise standards
- Coordinate with business teams to enable AI driven business cases, and suggest possible technical add ons to enrich the value / experience.
Governance & Responsible AI:
- Administer AI onboarding processes aligned to the AI policy and approval framework
- Support AI governance (risk, compliance, data privacy, lifecycle management)
- Collaborate with IT, Cyber Security, Legal, and Internal Control teams on AI compliance requirements
Business Collaboration & Data Partnership:
- Partner closely with Data Analysts and business stakeholders across functions in delivering data driven solutions
- Prioritize solutions in collaboration with Business Partners
- Co-develop data models, dashboards, and AI use cases aligned with business needs
- Support prioritization of AI and data initiatives based on business value
AI Adoption, Training & Onboarding:
- Co-design and administer Gen AI onboarding programs (training, playbooks, enablement assets)
- Support the AI Super User community and functional AI champions
- Drive AI literacy and adoption across the organization
Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
- Identify new opportunities for automation, advanced analytics, and AI-driven insights
- Stay up to date with emerging AI technologies and recommend relevant adoption
- Measure impact through adoption metrics, business outcomes, and efficiency gains
- Assist in evaluating Business RoI metrics over AI developments
- Ensure effectiveness over data driven solutions through comnunication and governance
PROFILE & COMPETENCIES
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years experience in Data Engineering (ETL, pipelines, cloud platforms)
- Minimum 2 Exposure to AI/ML and Generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot ecosystem)
- Experience working with business stakeholders and translating requirements
- Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Data Engineering & Technical Skills – Data Bricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure AI, Big Query, GCP etc.
- AI & Generative AI Skills – GenAI Models like Claude, Copilot, Open AI, Agentic Model Building like n8n, Vector DB, Hugging face,

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications or training in Data Bricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Cognitive services, Azure AI, Data Science platforms.
