Position OverviewWe are seeking an outstanding Business & Economics Teacher to join our school for an immediate start, or January 2027 at the latest.
We are looking for an adaptable and nurturing practitioner with a strong understanding of Business & Economics and the needs of young learners within a diverse international school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- * Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and high-quality Business & Economics lessons across the Secondary phase.
- Develop students’ scientific understanding through practical investigation, enquiry, critical thinking and real-world application.
- Differentiate teaching and use assessment effectively to meet individual learning needs, monitor progress and inform future planning.
- Maintain high expectations for achievement, engagement and behaviour, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with Business & Economics colleagues on curriculum development and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
Skills DescriptionSuccessful CandidateThe successful candidate will have:
- A recognised teaching qualification such as a B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, State Teaching Licence or equivalent.
- A relevant bachelor’s degree in Business or Economics or a closely related subject, meeting UAE teacher approval requirements.
- Successful experience teaching Business & Economics within a Secondary/High School setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, practical and enquiry-based Physics lessons.
- Experience teaching an international curriculum, with IB MYP and/or DP experience highly advantageous.
- A strong understanding of assessment, differentiation and strategies to support and challenge learners of varying abilities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and classroom management skills.
- A passion for Business & Economics and for inspiring students to develop curiosity, critical thinking and scientific understanding.
- Experience within a diverse, international school community would be advantageous.
- Previous experience within the UAE would be advantageous but is not essential.
