Overview
This role is responsible for developing and maintaining the backend architecture of the Brainex ONE intelligent platform, delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions that support logistics, asset management, and operational workflows.
Key responsibilities
- Develop robust server-side logic and APIs for the Brainex ONE intelligent platform
- Design and implement core business logic for logistics, asset management, and operational workflows
- Build high-performance, scalable backend services supporting real-time operations
- Integrate with AI/ML services to enable intelligent, system-led functionality
- Develop secure APIs and microservices architecture for modular platform design
- Collaborate with the Database Administrator to optimize data access and performance
- Implement security measures and data protection protocols
- Design and develop third-party integrations and external service connections
- Support DevSecOps practices and automated deployment processes
- Ensure system reliability, monitoring, and performance optimization
- Comply with Health, Safety and Environment policies
- Risk Management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Backend development certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) preferred
Knowledge
- Deep understanding of backend development principles and server-side architectures, including SOLID principles and common design patterns
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
- Experience with database design, optimization, and data modelling
- Understanding of cloud-native development and containerization
- Knowledge of security best practices and data protection regulations
- Familiarity with logistics operations and enterprise system requirements
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in backend development with .NET/C#, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework
- Experience in enterprise applications, logistics, or ERP systems preferred
- Proven track record with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and database integration
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and containerized applications
- Background in high-performance, scalable backend system development
- Experience with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
- Track record of AI/ML integration and data-intensive application development
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and cross-functional collaboration
Language Proficiency
- English (fluent)
- Arabic (advantageous)
- French (advantageous)
Technical Competencies
- Programming Languages: Expert proficiency in .NET (C#), including ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, and LINQ, with hands-on experience on .NET 6/7/8 for backend development
- Database Technologies: Advanced skills in PostgreSQL/MySQL and database optimization
- API Development: RESTful APIs and real-time communication protocols
- Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure services and containerization (Docker)
- Microservices: Service-oriented architecture, API gateways, and distributed system design
- Security Implementation: RBAC, encryption, SSO, MFA, and secure coding practices
- AI/ML Integration (nice to have): Model deployment, data pipelines, and machine learning service integration
- DevSecOps Tools: Git version control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Docker, Kubernetes
- Monitoring and Logging: Application monitoring, performance metrics, and system observability
- Message Queues (nice to have): RabbitMQ, Redis, Apache Kafka for asynchronous processing
- Frontend Familiarity (nice to have): Next.js
