We are seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused Technical Support Engineer | Field Service Engineer to provide engineering support, troubleshoot technical issues, and deliver on-site and remote service solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with hands-on troubleshooting abilities to ensure equipment, systems, and customer operations remain reliable and efficient.
üéØ Key Responsibilities‚Ä¢ Provide technical support to customers through on-site visits, remote assistance, phone calls, and other service channels.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, electronic, software, and system-related issues.
• Perform installation, commissioning, testing, calibration, maintenance, and repair of equipment and technical systems.
• Respond promptly to customer service requests, technical incidents, and equipment failures.
• Conduct on-site inspections to identify faults, performance issues, and potential system risks.
• Analyze technical problems and perform root-cause analysis to determine effective solutions.
• Repair, replace, configure, and test faulty components, devices, and system modules.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, manuals, and equipment specifications.
• Configure hardware, software, controllers, sensors, communication devices, and other technical components where applicable.
• Support equipment integration with customer infrastructure, production systems, networks, and other technical environments.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance according to service schedules and technical requirements.
• Perform equipment calibration, functional testing, system verification, and performance checks.
• Document service activities, technical findings, repairs, test results, and recommendations accurately.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of spare parts, replacement components, equipment status, and service history.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, technical support, logistics, and customer service teams to resolve complex issues.
• Escalate advanced technical problems to senior engineers, product specialists, or technical teams when required.
• Provide customers with clear explanations of technical issues, corrective actions, and recommended solutions.
• Train customers and operators on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, safety requirements, and basic troubleshooting.
• Monitor recurring equipment failures and recommend improvements to increase reliability and reduce downtime.
• Support product upgrades, system modifications, software updates, and equipment enhancements.
• Assist with new equipment installations, site preparation, acceptance testing, and customer handover activities.
• Ensure all service activities comply with company procedures, technical standards, safety requirements, and customer policies.
• Manage multiple service assignments while maintaining agreed response times and service-level targets.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and provide high-quality technical service.
• Stay updated on new products, equipment technologies, diagnostic methods, and technical service procedures.
✅ Requirements• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in technical support, field service, maintenance engineering, equipment engineering, or a similar technical role.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting and equipment-repair capabilities.
• Good understanding of electrical, electronic, mechanical, control, or automation systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Experience using diagnostic instruments, testing equipment, multimeters, oscilloscopes, or other engineering tools.
• Familiarity with PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, controllers, communication systems, or industrial equipment is an advantage.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, calibration, and equipment reliability principles.
• Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to diagnose complex technical problems systematically and efficiently.
• Good understanding of technical documentation, service procedures, and maintenance records.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems, ticketing systems, or service-management platforms is preferred.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers and non-technical users.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple service requests and work effectively under pressure.
• Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites or project locations when required.
• Ability to work independently in field environments while maintaining effective communication with the technical team.
• Strong awareness of workplace safety, equipment safety, and technical compliance requirements.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel for field assignments are advantageous.
• Experience with industrial machinery, automation equipment, medical equipment, telecommunications, electronics, or other technical systems is a plus.
