We are currently seeking to appoint an IT Specialist to join our IT Department in Taanayel, Beqaa, Lebanon. The successful candidate will be responsible to cover, but not limited to the below:
- Provide first- and second-level technical support for hardware, software, Microsoft 365, connectivity, printing, and other approved IT services to minimize business disruption.
- Diagnose and resolve routine technical incidents and service requests, documenting actions and escalating complex or recurring issues to the Network, Security & Operations Lead.
- Maintain clear communication with end users regarding issue status, expected resolution, planned changes, and required user actions.
- Install, configure, maintain, and support approved laptops, desktops, printers, peripherals, and other local IT equipment according to Group standards.
- Support Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, endpoint-management, backup, and other assigned infrastructure or cloud services within approved access rights.
- Perform routine checks on local IT equipment and services and report failures, capacity issues, or recurring operational risks promptly.
- Monitor and support local LAN (Local Area Network), Wi-Fi, internet, and site connectivity to maintain reliable user access and business operations.
- Troubleshoot basic network issues involving TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol), DNS (Domain Name System), DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), switches, access points, and connectivity.
- Coordinate network outages, provider incidents, or configuration requirements with the Network, Security & Operations Lead and approved service providers.
- Apply approved cybersecurity controls including endpoint protection, patching, secure configurations, device compliance, and user-security requirements.
- Support user-account, access, MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication), and joiner/mover/leaver activities according to approved authorization and least-privilege requirements.
- Report suspected phishing, malware, unauthorized access, security alerts, or other abnormal activity immediately and support required investigation or remediation.
- Maintain accurate records of local IT equipment, allocations, movements, warranties, lifecycle status, and approved disposal activities.
- Support implementation of Group IT projects, equipment rollouts, upgrades, migrations, and technology changes in Ghana through local coordination, testing, and user support.
- Identify recurring support or operational issues and suggest practical improvements to service reliability, user experience, or local IT controls.
- Coordinate with approved internet, telecommunications, hardware, and IT service providers for local incidents, repairs, installations, and support activities. o Provide users with practical guidance on approved IT tools, cybersecurity practices, access requirements, and basic system use.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
Experience
2–4 years of hands-on experience in IT support, systems administration, infrastructure, networking, or a related technical role.
Licenses and Certifications
Preferred: Microsoft 365/Azure/Entra ID certifications, ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Foundation, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or equivalent technical certifications.
