The Tax Accountant will prepare and review tax returns, ensure timely and accurate tax filings in accordance with applicable regulations, and maintain complete supporting documentation. The role also involves analyzing financial statements and transactions to assess tax implications, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, and assisting with tax planning.

The successful candidate will coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders, respond to tax-related inquiries, monitor changes in applicable tax laws, and contribute to improvements in tax and accounting processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional qualification such as CPA, CA, or an equivalent certification is an advantage.
Relevant experience in tax accounting, tax compliance, and the preparation and review of tax returns.
Strong accounting knowledge and the ability to analyze and interpret financial statements.
Knowledge of tax laws and regulations in Qatar or other GCC countries, with the ability to apply relevant requirements in practice.
Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
