Role Description The Senior Video Editor will work on a contract basis in a remote capacity, leading post-production for a variety of video projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include assembling and editing footage, refining narrative flow, applying color grading, and integrating motion graphics and graphic elements to enhance visual impact. The role involves collaborating with producers and directors to interpret creative briefs, maintaining consistent visual standards across projects, and preparing final exports in required formats and specifications. The Senior Video Editor will also manage project timelines, organize media assets, and provide feedback on production choices that affect post-production quality.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, with demonstrated experience owning projects from rough cut to final delivery.
- Proficiency in Video Color Grading, with the ability to maintain visual consistency and enhance storytelling through color.
- Experience in Motion Graphics and Graphics, including integrating titles, lower thirds, and animated elements into video content.
- Expert-level command of industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects).
- Solid understanding of audio editing basics, sound sync, and mixing for clear and balanced output.
- Strong organizational skills, including media management, version control, and adherence to deadlines in a remote environment.
- Ability to interpret creative direction, give and receive constructive feedback, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience as a Senior or Lead Editor on professional projects; a portfolio or reel showcasing relevant work is required.
- Knowledge of current video trends for digital and social platforms and best practices for exporting and delivering content.
