About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Category Manager – Windows Laptops to join our procurement team in Dubai.
This is a hands-on commercial role for a professional who has strong knowledge of the Windows laptop market and established experience in sourcing, purchasing, distribution, or wholesale trading of laptops.
The ideal candidate understands the market, knows the key brands and distributors, can identify competitive supply opportunities, and has existing industry contacts across Dubai, Asia, or the US.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the Windows laptop product category
- Identify and develop new suppliers, distributors, and sourcing channels
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing suppliers
- Negotiate purchase prices, payment terms, MOQs, and commercial conditions
- Monitor market prices, availability, stock levels, and new product releases
- Identify opportunities to purchase competitive stock and improve margins
- Analyze supplier offers and select the most commercially attractive options
- Source products based on customer demand and sales requirements
- Manage RFQs, quotations, purchase orders, and procurement documentation
- Monitor market trends and price movements across different regions
- Coordinate with Sales, Logistics, and Warehouse teams
- Ensure product availability and timely procurement
- Analyze category profitability and identify opportunities for margin improvement
- Build a reliable and competitive supplier network for the category
Requirements
- 2–5+ years of relevant experience in laptops, IT hardware, consumer electronics, distribution, or procurement
- Proven experience specifically with the Windows laptop category
- Strong knowledge of major laptop brands, distributors, wholesalers, and market pricing
- Existing supplier and industry contacts in Dubai, Asia, and/or the US
- Strong understanding of wholesale and distribution channels
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong commercial and analytical mindset
- Good understanding of international logistics, Incoterms, and import/export processes
- Ability to work independently and make commercially sound purchasing decisions
- Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is an advantage
- Fluent English
Skills
Preferred Experience
Experience with brands such as:
Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer, MSI, Microsoft Surface and other major Windows-based laptop brands.
Experience working with distributors, wholesalers, traders, marketplaces, or large retail/e-commerce companies is highly relevant.
