About Stroom Studio
Stroom Studio is a product design agency based in Abu Dhabi, working with clients across the UAE, Jordan, and the wider MENA region. The name comes from the Dutch word for flow: we believe great design carries users effortlessly through a product, and carries businesses toward growth.
We design and build apps, software, and websites for B2B and B2C clients in industries including banking, fintech, startups, and consumer brands. Our work covers three kinds of engagement:
- Build: taking an idea from zero to a designed, developed product
- Enhance: fixing and elevating the experience of existing products
- Extend: plugging into in-house teams as extra design capacity
The role
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join us for 6 months and work across multiple client projects. You'll own design end to end, from discovery to handoff, and help shape how we build scalable design systems.
What you'll do
- Plan and run UX research: interviews, usability testing, and competitive analysis
- Turn insights into flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI
- Build interactive prototypes for testing and client presentations
- Create and maintain token-based design systems using Figma variables, components, and modes
- Work closely with developers to make sure designs ship as intended
- Present work and rationale to clients with confidence
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in product or UX/UI design
- A portfolio showing process and outcomes, not just final screens
- Token-based design systems: primitive, semantic, and component tokens
- Figma variables and modes for theming, multi-brand, and dark mode
- Scalable components: variants, properties, nested instances, and auto layout
- Advanced prototyping with conditional logic, variables, and smart animate
- Responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and RTL/Arabic interfaces
- Clear developer handoff using Dev Mode, specs, and annotations
- Fluent English
Nice to have
- Fintech or banking experience
- Arabic/RTL interface design
