1/ Job Purpose
Factory People is looking for an HR Generalist with strong hospitality experience to support the people function across our restaurants, bars, clubs and events operations.
The role will have a strong operational HR focus, covering the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to payroll coordination, employee relations, performance and retention.
The immediate priority will be to lead the recruitment and staffing of Soul Kitchen Beirut ahead of its December opening, while supporting Le Freak and the wider Factory People operations.
Immediate Priority: Soul Kitchen Beirut Opening
The HR Generalist will take ownership of the staffing plan for Soul Kitchen Beirut, working closely with Operations and department heads to ensure the outlet is fully recruited, onboarded and trained ahead of opening.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build and manage the complete recruitment and staffing plan against the approved organizational structure and payroll budget
- Recruit FOH, BOH, bar and support positions within the required opening timeline
- Manage candidate sourcing, screening, interviews, references, offers and onboarding
- Maintain a live recruitment tracker highlighting vacancies, candidates, offers and joining dates
- Coordinate onboarding, documentation, uniforms, schedules and training requirements with Operations
- Ensure the complete team is operationally ready ahead of opening
2/ Core Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition: Manage recruitment across Factory People’s hospitality operations, clubs and events.
- Develop a strong pipeline of hospitality talent and maintain an active candidate database for recurring and seasonal requirements.
- Employee Relations: Act as a key HR point of contact for employees and managers.
- Support employee concerns, disciplinary matters, attendance, workplace issues and conflict resolution while ensuring consistency and fairness across the organization.
- Payroll & HR Administration: Coordinate monthly payroll inputs including salaries, attendance, overtime, tips, incentives, deductions, leave and employee movements.
Maintain accurate employee files, contracts, job descriptions and HR records.
- Performance, Retention & Development: Work with managers to improve employee retention, identify high performers and address performance gaps.
- Support probation reviews, performance assessments, promotions, development plans and succession opportunities.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Own the employee journey from offer acceptance through onboarding, probation and eventual offboarding.
- Ensure all documentation, company assets, accesses, licenses and clearances are properly managed.
- HR Policies & Compliance: Support the development and implementation of practical HR policies and SOPs adapted to hospitality and nightlife operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable Lebanese labor requirements.
- Clubs & Events Staffing: Support temporary and seasonal workforce requirements for Factory People clubs and large-scale events, including recruitment, staffing pools, scheduling coordination and post-event evaluation.
3/ Candidate Profile
- 2-4 years of HR experience, preferably within hospitality, restaurants, nightlife, events or other high-volume service environments
- Strong hands-on experience in talent acquisition and high-volume recruitment
- Comfortable recruiting across FOH, BOH, bar and operational positions
- Good understanding of payroll administration and employee relations
- Highly organized, resourceful and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to build trust with both frontline employees and senior management
- Strong sense of ownership and urgency
- Availability and flexibility to occasionally work outside conventional office hours, particularly during openings and major events
4/ Success in the Role
Performance will primarily be measured through time to hire and vacancy closure, successful staffing of new openings, employee retention, payroll accuracy, quality of onboarding, employee relations and overall HR responsiveness to operational needs.
