Job Purpose
Lead the design and engineering activities for Solar PV projects, ensuring technical excellence, compliance with project requirements, and successful project delivery from concept design through commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete design lifecycle of Solar PV projects.
- Lead electrical, and structural design coordination.
- Review and approve technical drawings, calculations, and engineering deliverables.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, utilities, and project teams.
- Support tendering activities through technical proposals and design optimization.
- Ensure compliance with local utility regulations and international standards.
- Conduct design reviews, value engineering, and risk assessments.
- Provide engineering support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Manage external consultants and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Ensure projects are delivered within budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in Solar PV design and engineering.
- Minimum 5 years in a Design Manager or Engineering Manager role.
- Experience with utility-scale and commercial Solar projects.
- Strong knowledge of PVsyst, AutoCAD, ETAP, and Solar PV system design.
- Familiarity with utility approvals, grid interconnection requirements, and renewable energy standards.
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
