Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal entries and accounting adjustments, and perform monthly and annual closing activities.
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable, reconcile balances, and prepare bank reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports, support financial statement preparation, and analyse expenses and variances.
- Maintain fixed asset records, calculate depreciation, and account for accrued and prepaid expenses.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for Zakat and tax returns, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
- Support internal and external auditors and provide the required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures and contribute to improving accounting controls.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of accounting experience, including experience in a senior accountant role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with advanced Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of applicable accounting standards and Zakat and tax requirements in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet financial closing and reporting deadlines.
- Relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
