Salesforce Functional Consultant – 12 Month Contract – Fully Remote
We are partnering with a leading global consultancy seeking an experienced Salesforce Functional Consultant to join a major Salesforce programme within the pharmaceutical / life sciences industry.
This is an initial 12-month contract, with strong potential for extension and the position is fully remote within Europe.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Salesforce Functional Consultant who is comfortable working closely with business stakeholders, understanding complex requirements and translating them into effective Salesforce solutions.
The role is particularly well suited to someone who has previous experience delivering Salesforce solutions within Pharma, Life Sciences or Healthcare, with exposure to Veeva being highly advantageous.
The programme is moving quickly, with an ASAP start preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand processes, challenges and functional requirements across the Salesforce platform
- Gather, analyse and document business requirements, translating them into clear functional specifications and user stories
- Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and Salesforce technical/development teams
- Support the design and delivery of Salesforce solutions aligned with business and regulatory requirements
- Lead and contribute to workshops, requirement-gathering sessions and stakeholder discussions
- Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement, automation and optimisation through Salesforce
- Support Salesforce CRM implementations, enhancements and transformation initiatives across the full delivery lifecycle
- Define functional requirements, acceptance criteria, process flows and solution documentation
- Work closely with technical consultants, developers and architects to ensure solutions accurately reflect business requirements
- Support testing, UAT, go-live and post-implementation activities
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate effectively across both business and technical teams
- Contribute to the successful delivery of Salesforce solutions within a complex pharmaceutical / life sciences environment
Must-Haves
- Strong experience working as a Salesforce Functional Consultant, Business Analyst, Product Owner or similar functional Salesforce role
- Strong understanding of Salesforce CRM and its core platform capabilities
- Proven experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into Salesforce solutions
- Experience working across the full Salesforce project lifecycle, from discovery and requirements through to testing and go-live
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively between business and technical teams
- Previous experience within Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences or Healthcare
- Experience working within complex enterprise or consultancy environments
- Ability to work independently within a fully remote project environment
- Professional/fluent English
Highly Desirable
- Experience with Veeva CRM / Veeva
- Experience across multiple Salesforce Clouds
- Previous experience working on large-scale pharmaceutical or life sciences transformation programmes
- Experience working for or alongside a major consulting organisation
- Understanding of the regulatory and compliance considerations associated with pharmaceutical or healthcare environments
