Overview / Job Purpose
We are looking for an experienced PMO Coordinator – IT Projects to support IT project governance, tendering, procurement coordination, and project delivery for a major client in Qatar.
The role will coordinate the complete tendering lifecycle, including tender preparation, commercial evaluation, approvals, publishing, award, and Letter of Award (LOA). The incumbent will also support project coordination from initiation through completion, working closely with Program Managers, Project Managers, steering committees, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate IT projects across pre-project, tendering, award, and post-award stages through project completion.
- Support the preparation of tender documents, tender plans, project documentation, and related submissions.
- Drive and coordinate the tender and commercial evaluation process, including required reviews and approvals.
- Coordinate tender publishing activities and ensure required documentation and approvals are completed on time.
- Support the awarding and Letter of Award (LOA) process, ensuring effective coordination among relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate project activities following LOA through implementation and successful project completion.
- Assist the Program Manager in compiling project status reports, management updates, trackers, and presentations.
- Organize and coordinate project meetings with steering committees, Project Managers, technical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain project and tender documentation, action trackers, decisions, risks, issues, and follow-up items.
- Coordinate across technical, procurement, commercial, and business teams to support timely tendering and project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Years of experience: Minimum 12 years of professional experience, with relevant hands-on experience in IT tendering, procurement, and project coordination.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Procurement, Project Management, or a relevant discipline.
- Industry exposure: Strong experience working on IT projects, preferably within government, utilities, infrastructure, or large enterprise environments.
- In-depth knowledge of IT tendering and procurement processes in the GCC, with strong preference for experience in the State of Qatar.
- Strong understanding of tender preparation, commercial evaluation, approvals, tender publishing, awarding, and LOA processes.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to prepare professional reports and presentations.
- Excellent organizational, stakeholder coordination, written communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Good command of English is required. Arabic language skills are preferred but not mandatory.
