Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer – Mechanical to support planning, scheduling, monitoring, and progress control for oil & gas / EPC construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Develop baseline schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project timelines.
- Monitor project progress against planned targets and identify delays or deviations.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Project teams to ensure schedule compliance.
- Prepare manpower, material, and equipment planning based on project requirements.
- Track mechanical construction activities including piping, equipment installation, fabrication, erection, testing and commissioning.
- Analyse critical path, schedule slippage, and recovery plans.
- Assist in preparing look-ahead schedules, S-curves, progress measurement and forecasts.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and site teams for progress updates.
- Support project management in schedule recovery and mitigation planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–10 years of experience in planning/scheduling for Oil & Gas, EPC, or construction projects.
- Strong experience in Primavera P6 is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of mechanical construction activities, particularly piping and equipment installation.
- Experience in progress monitoring, reporting, manpower planning, and schedule control.
- Saudi / GCC experience preferred.
- Candidates with Oil & Gas project experience will be preferred.
