Job Description:
Must-Have**
· Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Network administrator or related role
· Minimum 2+ years of experience with Network Security
· Experience with Cyber Security threat detection & prevention, Firewall Configuration, Switch/Router Configuration
· Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols · Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems
· Comprehensive understanding of servers, firewalls, switches, routers, and other network hardware and software.
· Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities for swiftly and efficiently addressing network problems.
· Proficiency in using network monitoring tools to track and pinpoint performance bottlenecks. · Expertise in setting up network gear and software to satisfy organizational requirements.
Good-to-Have
· Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade corporate customer’s networks and in house servers
· Install and integrate new server hardware and applications
· Keep an eye out for needed updates
· Support and administer third-party applications
· Ensure network security and connectivity · Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
· Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords
· Resolve problems reported by end user
· Define network policies and procedures · Specify system requirements and design solutions
· Research and make recommendations on server system administration
· A readiness to keep abreast of emerging technologies and market trends.

· Capacity to collaborate with suppliers on purchasing, upkeep, and supporting equipment.
Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
Network Operations and Monitoring
· Monitor E2E network availability, utilization, throughput, latency, connectivity, and overall performance.
· Identify performance bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and potential network failures proactively and report to management
· Ensure Monitoring network infrastructure using appropriate network monitoring and diagnostic tools, highlight the gaps to management & recommend optimization
· Conduct network capacity planning to support current and future business requirements.
Incident Management and L2 Technical Support
· Provide second-level technical support for network incidents and service requests escalated by L1 or end users.
· Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, performance, configuration, and security issues.
· Troubleshoot problems involving routers, switches, firewalls, network cabling, servers, and connected devices.
· Restore affected network services within agreed operational and service-level targets.
· Document troubleshooting activities, findings, resolutions, and implemented workarounds.
· Escalate unresolved or complex technical issues to L3 support, vendors, or service providers with complete diagnostic details.
· Support recurring-incident analysis and problem-management activities
Network Configuration and Administration
· Configure, maintain, support, and upgrade enterprise network infrastructure.
· Install and integrate new network hardware, server hardware, software, and applications.
· Administer routers, switches, firewalls, network operating systems, and related infrastructure components.
· Configure and maintain network-connected hardware, software, peripheral devices, and supporting equipment.
· Maintain network configurations in line with approved architecture, security, and operational standards.
· Support the administration of multi-user software and network services accessed through servers. · Keep network devices and associated systems updated with approved patches and upgrades
Network Security
· Maintain network security and secure connectivity across the enterprise environment.
· Configure and administer firewall, antivirus, intrusion-detection, and other network security solutions.
· Monitor network infrastructure for security weaknesses, unauthorized access, and potential cyber threats.
· Support cybersecurity threat detection, prevention, investigation, and remediation activities.
· Implement appropriate access controls and network-security configurations.
· Perform security hardening and support the remediation of identified network vulnerabilities.
· Ensure network configurations comply with applicable security policies, standards, and procedures
Change, Upgrade, and Maintenance Support
· Implement approved network changes, upgrades, and configuration modifications.
· Prepare implementation steps, validation checks, and rollback requirements for network changes. · Perform post-implementation testing to confirm network availability and service stability.
· Support network equipment replacement, technology refresh, and infrastructure enhancement activities.
· Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and routine health checks.
· Identify required updates and coordinate their implementation through the established change-management process
Backup, Recovery, and Service Continuity
· Maintain secure backup copies of relevant network and system configuration files.
· Verify that backups are completed and stored appropriately.
· Support network restoration and recovery activities following service disruption or equipment failure.
· Maintain documented recovery procedures for critical network components.
· Participate in recovery validation and service continuity exercises, where required
Network Design and Capacity Planning
· Perform network design and capacity-planning activities.
· Assess system and network requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
· Research network technologies, products, services, protocols, and standards.
· Provide recommendations for network procurement, enhancement, and development initiatives.
· Contribute technical inputs to network architecture, infrastructure expansion, and modernization plans
Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination
· Coordinate with equipment vendors, service providers, and internal technical teams for troubleshooting and maintenance support.
· Work with suppliers on the procurement, maintenance, and support of network equipment.
· Provide technical information and diagnostic evidence required for vendor escalation.
· Track vendor actions through to resolution and validate service restoration.
· Collaborate with relevant infrastructure and application teams to resolve cross-functional incidents
