We are seeking a Mechanical Integrity Engineer with expertise in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and structural assessment to support the development and validation of critical mechanical components. In this role, you will evaluate component durability, reliability, and lifecycle performance through advanced engineering analysis and simulation techniques.
Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will provide analytical insights that support product development, design improvements, and long-term component integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform stress, fatigue, and lifing assessments using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other numerical simulation methods.
- Evaluate the structural integrity and durability of mechanical components under various operating conditions.
- Develop and execute analysis models to support product development, validation, and design improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with design, development, and cross-functional engineering teams to gather data and perform accurate engineering assessments.
- Investigate component behavior and provide recommendations to improve performance, reliability, and service life.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of lifing methodologies, analysis procedures, and engineering standards.
- Document analytical results and present findings to technical stakeholders.
- Support technical problem-solving and root-cause investigations related to component integrity and durability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in structural analysis with a solid understanding of stress analysis, fatigue, and engineering mechanics principles.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following engineering simulation tools:
- ABAQUS
- ANSYS
- HyperWorks
- NASGRO
- Experience performing FEA and interpreting simulation results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English, and Swedish both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with fatigue and fracture mechanics assessments.
- Knowledge of component lifing and durability methodologies.
- Experience supporting product development or validation programs.
- Familiarity with rotating equipment, turbomachinery, energy, aerospace, or heavy industrial applications.
- Experience developing or improving engineering analysis methods and standards.
