Our Client is looking for afull-time, on-site Laundry Supervisor role. The Laundry Supervisor oversees daily laundry operations, including the collection, sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and folding of linens and garments.
The role includes assigning tasks to laundry staff, monitoring workflow, and ensuring that quality, hygiene, and safety standards are consistently met. The supervisor is responsible for maintaining equipment, managing inventory of detergents and supplies, and coordinating with other departments to meet linen and laundry service requirements. The position also involves training team members, resolving operational issues, and reporting on productivity, usage, and any maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
- Candidates should possess practical experience in laundry services and laundry operations, with knowledge of washing techniques, fabric care, and equipment use.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills to coordinate with staff and other departments and to provide clear instructions and feedback.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with handling linens, including sorting, quality inspection, and proper storage practices.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in hospitality or healthcare laundry environments, basic inventory and record-keeping skills, and an understanding of health and safety standards.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks safely.
