Role Description The Junior Civil Engineer will support the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects, focusing on infrastructure and site development work in and around Tripoli. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in preparing technical drawings and design documents, supporting stormwater management and drainage design, and contributing to project reports and calculations under the guidance of senior engineers. The role involves coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities, performing site visits and inspections, and helping ensure compliance with relevant standards and project specifications. This is a contract position. It is a hybrid role based in Tripoli, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Foundational skills in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world projects.
- Knowledge relevant to Civil Engineers in areas such as infrastructure design, materials, and construction methods.
- Planning skills for organizing project tasks, schedules, and documentation.
- Basic understanding of Stormwater Management, including drainage systems and site hydrology considerations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering and design software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar tools); familiarity with MS Office for reports and documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Willingness to conduct site visits and fieldwork in Tripoli and surrounding areas.
- Prior internship or project experience in civil engineering or construction is an advantage but not required.
