The IT Project Manager delivers IT projects across the group and oversees business applications, cloud platforms, infrastructure coordination, vendors and IT governance. The role bridges business stakeholders, IT teams and technology partners, ensuring solutions meet business needs, are delivered on time and within approved scope and budget, and are transitioned smoothly into operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Project Management & Delivery
- Lead IT projects end-to-end: initiation, requirements, planning, execution, testing, go-live, handover and closure.
- Build and maintain project plans, milestones, budgets, resource plans, RAID logs and dependency maps.
- Coordinate business stakeholders, internal IT teams, vendors and consultants to deliver agreed scope on time and within budget.
- Run project governance: steering committee and status reporting, action tracking, change control and escalation.
- Manage UAT, cutover, deployment and stabilization, and hand over cleanly to business and IT operations.
- Complete lessons learned, closure reports and knowledge transfer for every project.
- Provide or coordinate L1/L2 application support during the post-go-live stabilization period.
2. Business Applications Management
- Own the day-to-day management of core applications, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, Ramco HCM, Focus, Sage and other enterprise systems.
- Coordinate with application vendors and implementation partners on support, incident resolution, enhancements, integrations, upgrades and patches.
- Work with business departments to understand processes and pain points, and translate requirements into functional and technical solutions.
- Maintain application roadmaps, enhancement backlogs and release plans, including testing and deployment.
- Keep application documentation, support procedures, access controls and vendor contacts current.
- Coordinate integrations across Microsoft 365, Azure, GCP and ERP, HR, property, finance and other systems.
3. Microsoft 365 & Licensing
- Manage Microsoft 365 subscriptions, license allocation, renewals, utilization and cost optimization.
- Work with Microsoft partners on licensing, technical issues and service changes.
- Oversee identity, access, administrative roles, security controls and compliance for Microsoft 365, together with the infrastructure and security teams.
4. Cloud & Infrastructure
- Coordinate the group's Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform environments with providers, vendors and internal technical teams.
- Support cloud migration, modernization, integration and disaster recovery initiatives.
- Track cloud usage and cost, and act on optimization opportunities.
- Ensure cloud environments follow approved architecture, security, access, backup and governance standards.
5. Network, Server & Cybersecurity Coordination
- Coordinate support of networks, servers, firewalls, VPN, backup and endpoint services with the IT technical team.
- Coordinate cybersecurity tooling, including Trend Micro XDR and other security technologies.
- Drive vulnerability remediation, security updates, monitoring, access control, backup and DR improvements.
- Ensure infrastructure and security issues affecting business applications are escalated, tracked and resolved.
6. Business Relationship & Solution Management
- Act as the primary IT contact for business stakeholders across the group.
- Run workshops and requirement-gathering sessions with users and process owners.
- Prepare business cases, solution comparisons and vendor evaluations for management approval.
- Coordinate demonstrations, proofs of concept and technical assessments.
7. IT Governance, Policies & Controls
- Establish and maintain IT project governance standards, templates, reporting and controls.
- Develop, review and implement IT policies, procedures and operating guidelines.
- Ensure projects and IT services comply with policies, security requirements and internal controls.
- Maintain documentation for management, audit and compliance; support IT audits and close findings.
- Ensure approval, change, access and vendor management processes are followed.
8. Vendor & Contract Management
- Manage relationships with IT vendors, system integrators, software providers, cloud providers and managed service providers.
- Monitor vendor performance against SLAs, deliverables and milestones; lead service reviews and improvement plans.
- Support procurement: RFP/RFQ preparation, technical and commercial evaluation, negotiation, renewals and contract review.
- Identify opportunities to reduce vendor dependency and optimize IT spend.
9. IT Service Management & Operational Support
- Coordinate incidents, service requests, problems and escalations that need project or application management involvement.
- Ensure projects transition into operations with documentation, SLAs, support models and knowledge transfer.
- Analyze recurring incidents and drive permanent fixes, automation and process improvement.
- Coordinate business continuity, disaster recovery, backup and service restoration for critical IT services.
10. Team & Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate application, infrastructure, network, system administration and service desk (L1/L2) resources as required.
- Prioritize work by business criticality, project commitments, risk and available capacity.
- Provide direction and escalation support to technical teams and external providers.
- Promote collaboration between IT, business departments, vendors and senior management.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field.
- Proven end-to-end delivery of enterprise IT projects.
- Mandatory: hands-on or strong functional/project experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Experience managing enterprise business applications, including support, enhancements, integrations and rollouts.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration/licensing and Azure and/or GCP.
- Sound understanding of network, server, firewall, backup, endpoint and cybersecurity environments.
- Experience managing IT vendors, implementation partners, SLAs, contracts and technology evaluations.
- Experience in IT governance, policies, change management, risk management and project reporting.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Certifications
- PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification.
- ITIL certification.
