Role Description The Information Technology Field Technician is a full-time, hybrid role based in Masqaţ, Oman, with some flexibility to work from home depending on assignment and business needs. The technician will visit client sites to install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, peripherals, and printers, ensuring systems are functioning optimally. Daily responsibilities include providing technical support, diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues, performing computer repair, and documenting all service activities. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams, communicating clearly with end users, and following company procedures and safety standards. The technician is expected to manage assigned tickets, prioritize tasks, and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Strong technical support skills, including assisting end users and resolving basic to complex IT issues.
Hands-on experience with desktop computers, including installation, configuration, and hardware maintenance.
Proficiency in printer support, including setup, connectivity, and routine maintenance.
Demonstrated troubleshooting abilities for hardware, operating systems, and common business applications.
Practical experience in computer repair, including component replacement and diagnostic testing.
Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and basic networking (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, routers, switches).
Strong customer service orientation, clear communication skills, and the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and keep accurate records of service activities.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client locations within Masqaţ and nearby areas.
Relevant technical certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
