Role Description The Heating Air Conditioning Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Qatar. This role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heaters, ventilation units, and related controls. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing system issues, performing preventive maintenance, checking refrigerant levels, testing electrical components, and ensuring systems meet safety and efficiency standards. The technician will respond to service calls, document work performed, coordinate with team members and supervisors, and provide clear explanations of issues and solutions to customers. The role may involve occasional emergency call-outs, working in varied environments, and adhering to local regulations and company safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills for HVAC systems and related mechanical components.
- Working knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC equipment (drainage, piping, condensate lines).
- Experience with preventive maintenance, including scheduled inspections, cleaning, and performance testing of HVAC units.
- Understanding of EPA-related environmental and refrigerant handling standards or equivalent regional regulations.
- Solid electricity skills for reading wiring diagrams, checking circuits, and safely repairing electrical components in HVAC systems.
- Relevant technical certification or diploma in HVAC, mechanical, or electrical technology.
- Previous experience as an HVAC technician or in a similar maintenance role, preferably in residential or commercial properties.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and hand/power tools safely and effectively.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Physical ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying temperature conditions, following all safety protocols.
