Job Purpose
Lead tender and market access activities for our pharma distribution business in Oman. The role develops institutional opportunities, manages bids from planning through award, and works with principals and internal teams to deliver contracts profitably and on time. Based in Muscat.
Key Responsibilities:
Tenders and institutional business
•Build an Oman tender pipeline with public and private institutions; assess bid opportunities and agree priorities with the GM.
•Own the bid process, including requirements, pricing inputs, principal approvals, documents, submission deadlines and clarifications.
•Review awards and contracts, track purchase orders, and coordinate with supply chain and finance on stock, delivery, invoicing and payment follow-up.
Market access and relationships
•Maintain strong working relationships with procurement and other relevant decision makers across Oman’s healthcare institutions.
•Work with principals to understand product positioning, eligibility, registration status and access barriers; develop practical account plans.
•Monitor competitor activity, upcoming tenders and customer needs, and share useful market insights with the GM and principals.
Commercial and team management
•Manage tender revenue, margin, forecasts and contract performance; flag risks early and propose corrective action.
•Lead the tender and market access team, set clear priorities and improve bid accuracy and turnaround time.
• Keep complete tender records and ensure bids, pricing and customer interactions follow applicable Oman requirements and company policies.
Qualifications/Requirements
At least 5 years of relevant tender, institutional sales or market access experience in Oman’s pharmaceutical or healthcare distribution market, including direct work with institutional customers. An established network with healthcare procurement stakeholders and principals in Oman is required.
Education and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, business or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution, Oman tender processes and institutional procurement.
- Able to build credible relationships, negotiate with principals and customers, and use financial data to make sound bid decisions.
- Strong English communication and reporting skills; Arabic is an advantage.
