About The JobAn opportunity has arisen for a Head Mixologist to join our Food and Beverage Team in Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
- Identify and meet guests’ needs, provide appropriate bar services, and assist guests in recommendations, upselling where appropriate to provide knowledgeable and bespoke service
- Lead and supervise bartenders and bar staff during daily operations.
- Create, develop, and maintain innovative cocktail and beverage menus.
- Establish and maintain recipes, specifications, garnishes, and presentation standards.
- Ensure consistency and quality of all cocktails and beverages.
- Train and coach bartenders on mixology, service standards, product knowledge, and responsible alcohol service.
- Monitor beverage inventory, stock levels, wastage, and product quality.
- Assist with purchasing and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
- Control beverage costs and support achievement of departmental financial targets.
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks according to beverage recipes
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals
- Handle guests' inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to the Team Leaders if no immediate solution can be found
About YouThe ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- At least 3 to 4 years Bartending/Mixologist experience (preferably within the international hospitality industry).
- Proven experience as a Mixologist, Senior Bartender, or similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel, resort, restaurant, or high-end bar.
- Strong knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, wines, bitters, syrups, fresh ingredients, and cocktail techniques.
- Demonstrated experience in cocktail menu creation and beverage program development.
- Previous supervisory or team-leadership experience.
- Good understanding of beverage costing, inventory management, and stock control.
- Excellent communication and guest-service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant bartending/mixology certification is an advantage.
