Elsherif Studio (Ahmad Elsherif Designs) is a Cairo-based luxury interior design and design-build firm delivering high-end residential projects across Egypt's premium compounds and the GCC. Our team of 30+ takes projects from concept through full execution, with a focus on detail, material quality, and a finished result that matches the design.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced FF&E Interior Designer to own furniture, fixtures, lighting, and finishes on luxury residential projects, from concept selection through procurement, delivery, and installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop FF&E concepts and selections aligned with the approved design direction and client brief
- Prepare FF&E schedules, specification sheets, and sample/material boards
- Source furniture, lighting, fabrics, accessories, and art from local and international suppliers
- Request, compare, and negotiate quotations within approved budgets
- Produce custom furniture drawings and coordinate with manufacturers and joinery workshops
- Track orders, lead times, and deliveries, and flag delays or cost variances early
- Present selections to clients and manage revisions and approvals
- Coordinate with the design, site, and procurement teams to keep FF&E aligned with the execution schedule
- Supervise on-site installation, styling, and final handover
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture (required)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in interior design, with significant hands-on FF&E experience on high-end residential or hospitality projects
- Strong portfolio showing completed FF&E work, not concepts only
- Solid knowledge of materials, finishes, upholstery, lighting, and furniture construction
- Established network of local suppliers and manufacturers; international sourcing experience is a plus
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp or 3ds Max, and MS Office/Excel; Photoshop or InDesign for presentation boards
- Strong budgeting, organization, and vendor follow-up skills
- Excellent communication in Arabic and English
- GCC project experience is a strong advantage
