Role Description The External Auditor will perform full-cycle audit engagements for client organizations, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting. Day-to-day tasks include examining financial records, testing internal controls, verifying compliance with applicable standards and regulations, and identifying areas for process and control improvements. The role involves preparing clear, well-supported working papers, drafting audit findings and recommendations, and participating in client meetings to discuss results and next steps. The External Auditor will collaborate with team members and managers to ensure audits are completed on schedule and in line with firm methodologies. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Beirut Governorate, Lebanon.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting frameworks (e.g., IFRS), and local regulatory requirements.
* Proficiency in financial analysis, risk assessment, and evaluation of internal control systems.
* Ability to prepare accurate audit documentation, working papers, and clear audit reports.
* Solid skills in Microsoft Office and familiarity with accounting or audit software tools.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
* Strong attention to detail, professional skepticism, and sound judgment under tight deadlines.
* Ability to work collaboratively in teams, interact professionally with clients, and manage multiple engagements.
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; progress toward or possession of a professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is preferred.
* Previous experience in external audit or public accounting is highly beneficial.
