We are looking for a motivated Embedded Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and ongoing refinement of firmware for a wide range of embedded systems that integrate closely with sensors, peripheral I/O, and safety circuitry. You will work on real time control applications, complex decision making algorithms, and multi node communication networks that keep critical systems running safely and efficiently. This gives you the opportunity to work across the full stack, from electronics and hardware bring up to high level control logic, and to see your work come to life in real products.
The ideal candidate has 1 to 3 years of hands on experience in embedded development and a background in mechatronics or control systems. Knowledge of power electronics is a plus, and experience with FPGA programming is a strong advantage.
Responsibilities
- Develop reliable, high quality firmware in C/C++ for embedded controllers and related boards.
- Specify, design, and implement features for embedded subsystems such as control logic, communication protocols, and sensor interfaces.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues at both the hardware and software levels.
- Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, and testing teams to define requirements, write specifications, and bring designs to production.
- Support testing, validation, and field issues to ensure safe and dependable operation.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in embedded systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 1 to 5 years of experience in embedded systems and firmware development.
- Solid programming skills in C and C++.
- Hands on experience with microcontroller peripherals such as PWM, SPI, CAN, UART, I2C, ADC, and DAC.
- Good understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, including circuit analysis and design.
- Comfortable using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and in circuit debuggers or emulators.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with FPGA programming.
- Background in control systems, digital signal processing, or power electronics.
- Experience with system modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.
- Familiarity with real time operating systems (RTOS) or cooperative schedulers.
- Exposure to test driven development (TDD), unit testing frameworks, or CI pipelines for embedded software.
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, or similar).
- Familiarity with safety critical systems or functional safety standards.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary and an end of year bonus.
- Paid overtime.
- Medical insurance with family coverage, plus personal life insurance.
- Flexible working hours.
- Training and development opportunities in both technical and soft skills.
