Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Technical Office Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling technical office activities, reviewing engineering documents, preparing shop drawings, coordinating with other disciplines, and ensuring that electrical works comply with project requirements, specifications, and applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
Review electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project documents.
Prepare and review Shop Drawings, As-Built Drawings, and Technical Submittals.
Prepare Material Submittals and coordinate the approval process with consultants.
Review and coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
Prepare RFIs (Requests for Information) and technical clarifications when required.
Prepare quantity take-offs and assist in preparing and updating BOQs.
Review project requirements and ensure compliance with specifications and applicable codes.
Coordinate with site engineers to resolve technical issues and provide the required technical support.
Review subcontractor and supplier technical documents and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Prepare and review Method Statements and technical documentation.
Assist in preparing variation orders, claims, and technical evaluations when required.
Maintain proper documentation and records of drawings, approvals, RFIs, and technical submissions.
Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
[7–5] years of experience in Electrical Technical Office / MEP construction projects.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and construction practices.
Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Experience with Shop Drawings, Material Submittals, BOQs, Quantity Take-Offs, RFIs, and As-Built Drawings.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and project specifications.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in large-scale construction, commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards.
Experience with Revit MEP and/or BIM is an advantage.
